Welder in Rosyth

My client is offering a contract opportunity for Welders to join their team based at their Rosyth site. As the Welder, your main responsibility will be to safely perform welding and related tasks within a production setting.You'll work within a supportive team of experienced professionals, contributing to the safe execution of welding activities throughout the Type 31 unit build process. This includes tasks ranging from piece part creation to panel manufacture and whole ship assembly.Role: WelderLocation: Rosyth, ScotlandHours: Monday to Thursday07:30-17:15Plenty of opportunities to boost your earnings potential with flexible overtime.Hourly Rate: Competitive + £45 per day travel is paid if you live outside of a 35 mile radius of the docks, this is capped a 5 daysSecurity clearance: BPSS to start, must be able to achieve SCYou will be welding various components of the T31 Frigates predominately in vertical and overhead positions. You will have to successfully pass a Welder test regime as part of the recruitment process.What you'll be doing:Carrying out welding tasks in accordance with the essential variables and complete visual inspection of finished welds to contract acceptance standards and project requirementsMaintaining welding plant functionality and carry out daily machine checks, ensuring that any fault is reported immediatelySafely setting up and removing any pre-heating equipmentUse of digital and thermal temperature recording devicesThe Welder role covers but not limited to; GSFCAW process, SAW process, Grinding, Pre-Heating, Basic Visual Inspection and Control of welding consumables.Essential experience of the WelderIndentured WelderAn understanding of weld defects and causesPerform set up procedures for all welding equipment and accessories to be used on projectsExperience with one or more of the following Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), MIG or TIGIf you are interested in applying for this position and you meet the requirements, please apply immediately!Line Up Aviation has carved its own place in the recruitment of Aviation and Aerospace personnel all over the world for more than 30 years.
