Our client is a leading company specialising in the design, manufacture, and supply of high-quality tools and equipment for various mechanical and industrial applications. They offer a comprehensive range of products and have a large team of Fabricators to support these tasks.Job Details:Location: MiddlesbroughPosition: WelderType: Long Term Temporary PositionShift: Monday – Friday (Day Shift 7am-3pm or Back Shift 3pm-1.30am)Salary: £20.57 Day Shift, £22.63 Back ShiftAbout the Role: Working as a welder, you would be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques. This position works with various tools, machinery, and materials to create strong and durable joints in metal parts and products, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications.Main Duties & Responsibilities:Reading & understanding procedures relevant to task.Ensuring correct set up- i.e. pre heat of torches, calibration and set up of set prior to commencement.Ensuring all welds are within limits of verified procedure.Cleaning weld area once complete ready for acceptance by NDT.Maintaining housekeeping of work area.Guiding overhead cranes and hoists when trained for moving and assembling plates.Responsible for cable management, general good housekeeping in working area.Confined space work as required.Working in line with strict adherence to Quality/Health & Safety Procedures.About You:The ideal candidate will hold current 3/4G coding’s or prepared to test to EN9606 Standard 136/138.The ideal candidate will have previous working experience as a Structural Welder / Welding Technician / Sheet Metal Worker / Welding Inspector.Possess a vehicle and hold a full UK driving license.Please note: BPSS will be carried out prior to commencement of job.How to Apply:If you are interested, please apply directly or contact our consultants on (phone number removed).RMS is an equal opportunities employer and recruits and promotes employees based on suitability for the job.
