About Eden Boys' School, Birmingham

is a Muslim faith-based secondary school for 11 to 18 year old boys, which welcomes pupils from all faiths and none. We opened in Perry Barr in 2015 and, like all Star schools, we have a leadership specialism. We are extremely proud to be one of the highest performing schools in the country, with the 2nd best Progress 8 score nationally for our 2019 GCSE results. We were graded as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted during our first inspection in May 2018.

What the role involves

  • As Vice Principal you will play a crucial role in securing the ongoing development of this outstanding school with a strong regional and national reputation for outcomes and attendance.
  • You will provide strategic and operational support to the school’s Principal and deputise for them where necessary.
  • You will work systematically to implement Star’s tried and tested processes through instructional leadership and coaching.
  • The precise details of your role will be determined according by matching your portfolio of experience and skills with the needs of the school.

  • Be an enthusiastic team player.
  • Have the skills to build the capacity of colleagues to secure ongoing school improvement.
  • You will have:

  • A degree-level qualification and Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience of senior leadership and management within a school setting.
  • Experience of successful and sustained delivery of outstanding attainment and achievement.
