Trainee Financial Accountant in Cardiff

Robert Half Talent Solutions are seeking an Assistant Accountant with full study support for a dynamic services organisation based in Central Cardiff.

The Assistant Accountant is responsible for processing and recording of financial information for the group of companies, including preparation of management and statutory accounts for both UK and overseas entities. Opportunity for long-term progression within the group.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of quarterly management accounts for several group companies.
• Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for several group companies.
• Reconciliation and control of intercompany transactions amongst a diverse group of companies.
• Involvement in year-end group audit, including liaising with auditors and providing information on a timely basis.
• Assist with preparation of quarterly reports for investors and funders.
• Assist with preparation of accounts of overseas group companies.
• Maintain cash books and prepare monthly bank reconciliations for UK and overseas companies.
• Prepare, process and control sales ledger invoices and reconcile control accounts.
• Involvement in purchase ledger process, including processing invoices, dealing with supplier queries, reconciling accounts and processing payment runs.
• Assist with general ledger analysis work.

On offer a starting salary of from £35,000 to £45,000 plus full study support - including half a day a week generous package and hybrid working
