We are seeking an ambitious, hardworking, and enthusiastic individual to join our expanding team as a Trainee Technician, working alongside our directors, engineers, and technicians and playing a key role in the production and delivery of project work. You will predominantly sit within our structures team, but there will be opportunities to work across the wider company, building knowledge and experience of all disciplines over time. Whilst we are a relatively small company, we are proud to be specialists across a number of fields, including civils, structures, marine and rail, enabling us to offer a varied workload and opportunities to get involved with unusual and exciting projects.
The right candidate may, where appropriate be supported to achieve a degree qualification via the Modern Apprenticeship route and upon successful completion, would become a qualified Civil/structural Engineer.
You will possess the skills and attitude necessary for working well in a fast-paced, professional environment, whilst potentially working towards a degree simultaneously. You will be personable, a good communicator, versatile and have the ability to think on your feet. You will be eager to learn and able to follow instructions, working cohesively as part of the team. Equally you will have the ability to work logically and independently, allowing yourself to be challenged, but recognising when to seek support and advice.

Responsibilities
· Site inspection/survey work
· Technical and CAD drawings (Computer Aided Design)
· Assisting with design and general office duties.
· Assisting project managers to deliver project work.
· Attend meetings and represent the company.
Requirements
· The role would suit someone with a scientific and mathematical academic background.
· Maths and science GCSEs grade B or equivalent and above.
· Ability to clearly communicate and interpret instructions, both written and verbal.
· If wishing to pursue the Degree Apprenticeship, Universities will require 112 UCAS Tariff points (BBC at A level or equivalent) preferably in Maths or Technical Subjects and 4 GCSEs at C/4 or above including English and Maths
