Team Manager

The Growth Company’s Employment team have a new vacancy for Team Manager who will lead a team of delivery staff and support staff to ensure successful delivery of a contract in order to maximise the achievement of outcomes and deliver the performance expectations of prime contractors and commissioners.

We help to make a lasting difference to the lives of people throughout the North of England and beyond, by supporting individuals to gain meaningful employment. Our highly skilled advisers and keyworkers work with a range of individuals; from people who have found themselves recently out of work, to those with complex barriers such as physical disabilities, mental ill-health and debt.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Operations Manager/Service Manager in ensuring the successful delivery of team targets for prime contractors and commissioners.
  • Maximise the placing and sustainment of customers into jobs or learning.
  • Meet the recruitment and training needs of employers.
  • Lead and support a team of delivery and support staff to drive high levels of contract performance.
  • Take a lead for the Operations Manager/Service Manager in driving profit and loss (P&L)(P account results including achievement of income targets, managing staff productivity, client spend and office costs.
  • Development of local relationships and effective marketing activities to ensure the service receives customer referrals to meet contractual requirements.
  • Delivery of high quality and compliant services to customers.
  • Continuous improvement of systems, quality of provision and product development.
  • Management of data integrity and data security, including maintenance of the required audit trail.
  • Management of petty cash and client spend of relevant policy (local and national).
  • About you

  • Good understanding of the employability, training & employment industries.
  • Working knowledge of the principles of people management and employment law.
  • Understanding of MI and financial information.
  • Good labour market knowledge and good knowledge of relevant policy (local and national).
  • Results driven and have a confident people manager
  • Strong levels of individual initiative and drive.
  • Resilient under pressure and a team player.
  • Communication and networking.
  • Skills Required

  • Ability to effectively lead and manage staff.
  • Able to confidently present to partner organisations and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to produce written reports to a good standard.
  • Fluent user of ICT and knowledge of CRM systems.
  • People management and track record of achieving tangible performance results.
