Tax AccountantNewcastlePermanentUp to £44,000Sellick Partnership is currently assisting in the recruitment of a Tax Accountant for an organisation within the Public Sector on a permanent basis.Responsibilities of the Tax Accountant include:Manage VAT accounting functions, including quarterly VAT return and preparation of VAT certificates.The annual Corporation tax and other statutory HMRC returns.Supporting with the preparation and audit of the Statutory Accounts.Assist with monthly and annual reporting.Keeping up to date with corporation tax, VAT and international tax legislative changes and requirementsThe ideal candidate will:Understanding of appropriate legislation, regulations, and code of practice, along with appreciation of the implications of non-complianceGood understanding of UK GAAP and technical post qualified experienceHold a CCAB Accountancy qualificationHold a CTA qualification (desirable)We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing.
