Systems Architect in Bedford

Consilium Recruit are proudly supporting a leading global engineering solutions provider who are working in partnership with some of the world’s most influential names in the Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, Tech, Energy, Healthcare, Medical Devices, Rail and Semi-Conductor industries.

We are seeking a Systems Architect to join their team on a permanent or contract basis. 

You will work at the head office based in the Bedfordshire area, where site presence is required 4 days per week.

Key responsibilities include:Lead a multi-disciplinary team to develop requirements, models and system architectures.

Contribute to a clear architectural vision, supporting capability roadmaps for development of products for the short, medium and long term.

Support the development of Architecting methodologies.

Apply system of system and product development approaches to ensure alignment and efficiencies across the project.

Engage with customers and stakeholders to understand system needs and constraints.

Derive functional and behavioural aspects of a system.

Apportion and budget performance across a system or system of systems.

Work with the Project Manager to estimate the cost based on alternative solutions.

Play an essential role in the broader systems engineering team, assisting with best practises in Model Based Systems Engineering, Systems Architecture and Systems Engineering.

Mentor and coach colleagues in System Architecture skills and practices.   

The PersonExperience of requirements management planning.

Knowledge of Atlassian tools, Cameo Systems Modeller or MATLAB.

Familiar with Radio Frequency (RF) system design and operation.

Previous experience liaising with Engineer across disciplines.

Ability to collect verification evidence and supporting data, collating against verification matrix for compliance.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

MUST either hold current SC or be eligible to gain security clearance (5yrs UK residence).
