Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer in Peterborough

The below job description will outline this position of: Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

Typically, this person will be responsible for monitoring and resolving any issues with goods and product sent from suppliers.

HSB Technicals client is a very established and well-regarded business entity.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison with operations and QC regarding supplier-related quality concerns.
• Investigate quality assurance issues and determine liability and raise non-conformance reports on suppliers.
• Communicate issues with suppliers to ensure root cause analysis is conducted using appropriate problem-solving tools.
• Ensure all Stock on Hand (SOH) is segregated, sorted, and quarantined for non-conforming products. Non-conforming parts are to be returned to suppliers at their expense.
• Participate in the Material Review Board process, including steps for determining fitness-for-use and product disposition.
• Support the Rework Approval, Concession, and Change Notification processes.
• Collaborate with purchasing to validate first-off parts for all new products and assist purchasing with supplier assessments and audits.

Qualifications and requirements:

• Able to read engineering drawings.
• Must have a willingness to learn.
• Previous Supplier Quality assurance experience would be desirable.
• Previous experience working in the engineering sector is ideal.
