Service Engineer in Cumbria

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Service Engineer to be engaged on a permanent basis to be located in Bristol.

Job overviewAs an integral member of the team, you will lead the completion of planned maintenance, repairs, and installations of advanced instrumentation.

You will become part of a dynamic team driving innovation in the field of instrumentation, electrical and mechanical maintenance.

Your role is crucial in maintaining operational excellence and fostering positive customer relationships.

Responsibilities and DutiesOperational Excellence:* Master a broad portfolio of instruments, offering both reactive and preventative maintenance support, including Waste Monitors, Contamination or Clearance Monitors, Vehicle Monitors, Area Gamma Alarms, Counting Systems, Industrial X-Ray Systems and associated computer and control systems.

* Align service delivery with the company's business plan, ensuring the completion of all scheduled works, exceeding customer expectations and meet KPIs.

Safety:* Demonstrate a deep understanding of safety responsibilities outlined in the company safety manual and customer safety documents.

* Promote a safe working environment and promptly report safety occurrences or system failures.

Stakeholder Relationship Management:* Interface positively with internal and external stakeholders, actively promoting the company's systems and its parent organisation.

Be cost-aware, striving to consistently provide value.

Additional Information:* Flexibility is key, individuals may be required to carry out additional duties based on business needs.

* Maximum operational efficiency requires adaptability; individuals may be called upon to assist in various areas.

Essential Skills and Experience:Have a recognised Electrical or Electronic qualification or relevant experience.

Proven customer service experience, committed to achieving and promoting high standards of customer support.

Demonstrate the ability to utilise test equipment and drawings in fault finding.

Full UK Driving License.

UK National who has continually lived in the UK for the last ten years with the ability to hold SC Clearance.

A minimum of three years experience as a multiskilled service engineer.

Desired Skills and Experience:Linux (Command line).

PLC's (CODESYS Programming language).

Industrial x-ray service, support and installation.
