Person Specification

An SEO Account Manager will have an in depth knowledge of how to conduct SEO campaigns and be more than au fait with the contemporary understanding of SEO best practice and methods.

The individual will be passionate about the subject, always seeking opportunities for self improvement and learning.

They will demonstrate a logical mind coupled with creative flair, emotional intelligence and a propensity to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

The Main Accountabilities

● Working directly with clients in planning and implementing SEO campaigns; ● Client management including regular and comprehensive reporting, phonecalls, meetings and video conferencing; ● Attending client meetings; ● Maintaining the company’s high client retention rate by developing andfostering long lasting client relationships, often at senior levels within theclient’s business; ● Analysis of client website(s) and competitor data to identify opportunitieswithin the given market sector; ● Analysis and technical auditing of client websites to ensure adherence tocurrent day best practice SEO standards and architecture; ● Researching and reaching out to websites which could provide links to theclient website; ● Project management of tasks and colleagues when working on collaborativeSEO projects.

Job Dimensions

Reporting to the immediate team leader, the SEO Account Manager will beresponsible for a portfolio of clients of varying sectors.

The SEO Account Manager willbe responsible for running ongoing retained SEO clients ensuring agreed servicelevels are maintained and relationships improved positively.

The role is largely office based but on occasions will involve independent travel toclient premises.

Knowledge and Experience

● Over 2 years experience; ● Excellent knowledge of online marketing and SEO; ● Demonstrable understanding of technical SEO considerations; ● Demonstrable understanding of offsite SEO considerations; ● Ability to research and write clear, professional and engaging content; ● Ability to critically appraise client websites; ● Experience in conducting keyword and competitor research; ● Experience and knowledge of Google Search Console and Keyword Planner; ● Good experience of using, interpreting and administering Google Analyticsincluding advising and implementing on conversion tracking and ROImeasurement; ● Preferable experience with Google Tag Manager and Google Data Studio; ● Advanced excel / google sheet skills; ● Experience of using website Content Management Systems particularlyWordPress; ● Able to work to deadlines and prioritise and manage time across multipleclients; ● Able to write and present campaign summaries; ● Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills; ● Gravitas to hold and direct internal and external meetings; ● Ability to proactively identify business development opportunities within clientportfolio; ● Must be a UK resident or work permit holder;
