Merrifield Consultants are delighted to partner with a national disability charity the to find them a Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager to join a friendly and professional team.

The primary purpose of this role is new business fundraising – raising money from trusts, foundations and statutory sources which haven’t previously supported by the organisation.

Job Title: Senior Trusts and Foundations Manager

Organisation: Disability Charity

Reporting to: Head of Trusts and Foundations

Salary: £44,00 ( can increase DoE)

Contract: Permanent, Full-time

Location: Central London (Hybrid- 2 days in London Office)

Key Responsibilities:

• Research new funders and engage with potential and existing funders on the phone, virtually and face to face.
• Identify suitable programmes and case for support with Service and Policy Teams assessing project viability for grant applications and operational and resource requirements.
• Build strong internal working relationships with colleagues to facilitate effective fundraising.
• Prepare and submit applications and budgets to funders.
• Experience of prospect research for high value Trust and or Statutory opportunities
• Experience of writing successful proposals for new or innovative projects
• Experience of successfully securing 5 or 6 figure grants in medium or large organisations.
• Experience of managing annual income targets and preparing work plans to meet targets agreed.
• Experience of increasing funding from warm donors through relationship management

Skills:

• Excellent prospect research skills
• Excellent oral communication skills and written skills in the context of proposal writing and grant reporting.
• Strong planning and analysis skills to develop an annual plan to meet income targets.
• A team player who can develop effective relationships both internally and externally.
• Well organised and excellent attention to detail
