The Senior Paraplanner will be responsible for researching and creating reports in line with business expectations around quality and KPIs. The successful candidate will understand and appreciate the importance of relationship building and will have exceptional drive and determination as well as being methodical and hard working. Candidates will have impeccable written communication skills, very good attention to detail and a strong ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.

  • 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday - standard working hours 09:00 - 17:30 (16:00 Friday Finish).
  • This role is primarily office based with the possibility of 1-2 working from home days per week.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Research and Recommendation: Analyse gathered information and conduct thorough research to formulate suitable recommendations for clients.

Suitability Report Writing: Create high quality suitability reports in a timely manner and to a highly professional standard.

Problem Resolution: Address operational challenges promptly, providing solutions, and fostering a proactive problem-solving environment.

Stay Informed: Keep abreast of new product, technical, and legislative changes within the marketplace to ensure up-to-date knowledge.

Documentation Accuracy: Complete all supporting documentation with precision and accuracy.

Performance Standards: Maintain performance standards in accordance with those outlined in the Key Performance Indicators.

Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to the Paraplanning Team, contributing to the development of their skills and knowledge.

Communication and Collaboration: Facilitating effective communication and collaboration between different departments to ensure seamless coordination and information flow.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements and standards.

  • Demonstrated substantial experience (minimum 3 years) in paraplanning, with a particular focus on supporting pensions accumulation and decumulation advice.
  • Strong understanding of financial products, regulations, and market dynamics.
  • The capability to explain complex information simply and clearly.
  • A background in conducting thorough research and analysis to make suitable recommendations based on client needs and market conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing supporting documentation.
Desirable
  • Experience in effectively answering technical queries from team members and clearly explaining reasoning behind recommendations and strategies.
  • Experience in technical training of a paraplanning team and creating efficiencies using systems and processes.
  • Experience in managing a team.
