 Role Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Marine Consultant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing expert technical guidance and project management for our offshore renewables, subsea cable, and oil & gas projects. This role requires a deep understanding of the marine space, relevant engineering principles, project lifecycle management, and industry-specific challenges. Ideally, we want someone to join the team who can show entrepreneurial skills to help drive growth in developing and adapting new technologies for improving efficiency in the offshore energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership:
• Provide expert technical consultation for offshore renewables, subsea cable, and oil & gas projects.
• Lead the design, analysis, and implementation of technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Project Management:
• Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, construction, and quality assurance.
• Manage project risks, changes, and stakeholder communications.
• Client Engagement:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations and reports to clients and stakeholders.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Innovation and Development:
• Drive innovation in engineering practices and solutions within the company.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and methodologies.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Quality Assurance:
• Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure high standards of engineering output.
• Conduct technical reviews, audits, and inspections.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with offshore energy operations and subsea engineering techniques.
• Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and sustainability practices.
• Excellent understanding of the marine environment
• Excellent GIS skills and any other maritime / survey data visualisation / analysis software.
• Knowledge offshore classification requirements for ships and installed structures.
• Strong data management skills and knowledge
• Understanding of Subsea Cable Burial Risk Assessment. Carbon Trust / DNV.
