Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Senior Income Officer for a Housing Association based in Greater Manchester.

This is a permanent position, paying £39,000 per annum, and will require office attendance 1-2 times per week.

The role:

  • To manage the delivery of a customer-focused, efficient and effective income collection service to a high quality customer experience
  • Ensure tenancy sustainability through the effective management of arrears cases through timely and effective interventions that prevent arrears accruing
  • Provide appropriate support to vulnerable residents by providing advice and support on welfare benefits, financial inclusion and property condition or by signposting to other appropriate services
  • Manage a team of Rent Officers and Rent Assistants in all aspects of performance and take responsibility for the team’s achievement of targets, objectives and value for money
  • Support the Head of Income / Income Team Leader with the development of policies, procedures, strategies and initiatives in respect of all aspects of income management, including rent, service charges, shared ownership rent and leaseholder charges
  • What you need:

  • Experience of managing a team delivering Income Recovery for tenants in a social housing environment
  • Up to date knowledge and current legislation and the regulatory framework in relation to possession proceedings for rent arrears and recovery of other debts
