Salary: Scale G - Starts at £36,996 rising by yearly increments to a maximum of £40,950 per annum 
Please note that the above salary is based on working 37 hours per week. If this role is part-time or you are appointed on a part-time basis your salary will be prorated to reflect this.Exceptions to starting salary may apply if you are an existing Devon & Cornwall or Dorset Police Staff employee substantively posted to a role at the same Scale.

However, we welcome applications from individuals wishing to work on a part-time basis and we are willing to consider flexible working patterns subject to business need. /*generated inline style */ Allowances:  This role attracts no allowances. /*generated inline style */ About the role: As a Senior HR Officer you will need to develop effective partnerships with designated business areas of the Force and provide credible HR advice to the Senior Leadership Team. You will be responsible for providing professional HR case management support and advice, coaching line managers in relation to complex people management issues including probation, attendance, equality issues, grievances and capability, up to and including dismissals from employment. The role involves dealing with complex issues and requires the ability to take a problem-solving approach to ensure the best outcome is achieved in line with policies, procedures and employment legislation. You will be responsible for providing support and case management direction to HR Officers and for the supervision of Assistant HR Officers. This is a busy role which will require resilience and the ability to work effectively on your own initiative to manage multiple pressing demands. The role will involve some travel across the Force area. You should be able to demonstrate significant experience in a generalist professional HR role alongside excellent interpersonal and communication skills. /*generated inline style */

    Selection Stage: 

    The selection for this role will consist of Shortlisting, Interview.

    If successful, you will then be invited to an interview. This will be based on the essential criteria outlined within the job description. The interview process is due to take place week commencing 8 July 2024.
