Position Overview Located in London, UK, and a member of the Ralph Lauren FP&A team, the Sr. Analyst FP&A is responsible for supporting management of Marketing expenses in EMEA. This position reports to the Director FP&A and will work together with key business partners to support end to end financial processes across all Marketing costs. This includes supporting divisional forecasting/budgeting and month end close activities. Position requires strong foundational knowledge and experience in finance/accounting and a track record of strong expense management, navigating complex expense structures. You will be proactive and detail oriented financial professional with the ability to multi-task with a high degree of analytical proficiency and integrity. Essential Duties & Responsibilities • Support Director, FP&A with the forecast, month end close, and budget efforts across all of Marcom EMEA including detailed expense variance analyses across channels, brands, and projects • Includes management of significant marketing spend across all channels including allocation of funds by: project, regions, brands, ATL vs BTL, digital vs BM, etc • Lead on all month end close processes including prepaid expenses, accruals, reclasses, and variance reporting. • Review monthly expense results with key partners; establish a track record of clear communication and sound follow up. • Identify, analyze, and interpret expense and cost trends. Develop and summarize recommendations based on trends to identify areas of savings and opportunities. • Collaborate with the functional leads to develop forecasts in line with the broader region and channel strategic goals • Responsible for management of Marcom liabilities. • Partner with manager to drive process efficiencies. • Establish and maintain strong business partnerships across divisional finance teams to promote teamwork and organizational alignment including sharing best practices across divisions. • Anticipate needs of business partners and prioritize efforts to deliver results Key partners: Marketing and Creative teams, Channel Leadership, Divisional and Corporate FP&A teams Scope: Role covers the RL EMEA region, which includes UK, Germany, Italy, France, Iberia, Scandi and Emerging Markets Experience, Skills & Knowledge · Robust finance education with professional certification CIMA. Accounting qualification a strong plus, (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent). · Prior experience in Finance/Accounting with expense management; FP&A in a retail or marketing preferred. · Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams · Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills; high degree of accuracy with a strong attention to detail · Self-motivated, follow through with responsibilities and be accountable for results with strong organization skills · Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast paced environment; detail oriented with strong organization skills · Ability to develop effective partnerships with financial and non-financial partners across varying levels of management; strong communication skills · Mandatory: Advanced competency in Excel and other Microsoft applications · Preferred: SAP, Insight, and Hyperion Essbase
