Senior FEA Analyst in UK

I'm looking for a Senior FEA Analyst to join the UK's leading Aerospace & Defence organisation.The role is pretty much remote with the requirement to be onsite at Barrow-in-Furness just 4 times per year.You MUST be eligible for Security Clearance (SC) to be considered for this position.What you'll be doing:Capture and develop analysis and assessment requirementsConduct full range of Finite Element Analysis; from model creation through results post-processing to results interpretation and formal report writingCarry out assessments against design codesPropose suitable design solutionsChecking and reviewing analysis by others, both internal and externalAct as intelligent customer for analysis and assessment tasksSupport design reviewsSupport the substantiation and analysis managerInteract with and support wider Site Engineering Function as well as other parts of the businessEssential Skills & Experience:Experience in conducting complex Finite Element Analyses and interpretation of resultsExperience working in a highly regulated industry (Nuclear, Oil & Gas, etc)Ability to carry out hand calculationsTechnical report writingDesirable Skills & Experience:Degree qualified in a STEM subjectChartered engineer status and professional body membershipUse of ANSYS, ABAQUS and LS-DYNAA robust understanding of the use, capabilities, and limitations of FEA methodsUse of MathCAD for hand calculationsExperience in linear, non-linear analysis and assessment, including seismic (response spectrum and time history analysis)The salary for the position is £44,000 to £65,000 DEO, plus an excellent benefits package.JAM Recruitment Ltd is acting as an employment agent with regards to this position
