Job Description The role is accountable to the Department Head and is responsible for managing the relevant sections within the Contracts and Frameworks Department. The post holder will be required to develop and implement a best practice framework for cost, value and contract management for construction projects, providing support and assurance for project planning and delivery, managing dispute resolution and continuous performance improvement. Essential Criteria ¿ Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or relevant construction related subject. ¿ Minimum of 5 years¿ experience in the commercial management of contracts, including experience of major projects ¿ Experience of the NEC suite of contracts, procurement legislation and contract law. ¿ Experience in resolving complex commercial issues/ disputes. ¿ Experience in developing commercial management strategies for a wider programme of works. ¿ Experience of managing a team ¿ Full current Driving Licence and access to a vehicle to meet the requirements of the post in full. Desirable Criteria ¿ Professionally chartered through a relevant body.¿ Experience in the development and implementation of procurement strategies for complex, multidisciplinary projects and Frameworks. ¿ Experience in rail systems Please Note: This role will close at 12 noon on the specified date.
