SUMMARY

Valkyrie Industries is an ambitious deep-tech company based in London developing technology of touch (haptics) for virtual simulations (VR & AR). Our mission is to create the best wearable muscle haptics technology and to scale this across healthcare, gaming and entertainment.

Our first units are scheduled to ship early next year aimed towards the recovery and rehabilitation market with interim pilots launching end of summer.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team and help shape the rehabilitation and physical therapy space. The role will require communicating with external and internal stakeholders to build partnerships and co-content creation strategies for the platform. 

An excellent track record of building sales pitches, and presenting to clients will be the daily role leading to future clients. 

You will be personifying the company’s core values both on and offsite as you represent Valkyrie globally. 

Valkyrie’s main business model is B2B delivering a new type of healthcare solution. 

This role has great potential for career growth with the possibility of becoming Head of Sales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be working closely and effectively with the CEO and marketing to secure future partnerships and collaborators and lay the foundations for a successful virtual sales pipeline. 

The role will require communicating with external and internal stakeholders to understand clientele and customer requirements:

  • Take lead and manage the entire sales cycle to find and close deals within the medical space. 
  • Develop and execute effective sales plans and strategies that align with the company's overall objectives.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improve sales performance.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, the tech team, and other departments within the organization to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient sales operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure the company stays competitive in the market.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to maximize sales opportunities and increase customer loyalty.
  • Develop and manage the sales budget to ensure efficient use of resources and maximize profitability.
  • Managing the entire company’s sales documentation, its distribution with top to bottom facing client/customer engagement.
  • Be adaptable and able to adjust sales strategies to meet changing market conditions and customer needs.

PERSONAL PROFILE

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of direct experience as a technology-focused sales rep or product owner for medical and healthcare fields. 
  • Experience working within or for the NHS. Other relatable experiences within Healthcare are also highly desirable. 
  • Result-driven: you should be result-driven and have a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to create and present both factual and visually outstanding sales presentations without aid. 
  • Experience in creating a sales pipeline and implementing said strategy with conviction and independence. 
  • Flexibility, curiosity, lateral thinking and ability to apply pragmatism

Bonus desirables

  • MBA or Master's equivalent in business and management
  • An interest in human-computer interfaces, Spacial Comuting and/or wearables
  • A high degree of autonomy and self-motivation
  • An eye for good design in presentations
  • Ability to pitch on behalf of the startup at worldwide events

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • 25 days a year holiday 

Salary: 

  • Negotiable depending on experience
  • £50,000 - £60,000 pa depending on the experience + Share options.
