Position: Security Consultant (Estimator – Technical Sales)

Location: Stevenage (50% office-based, 50% site visits)

Salary: £35,000 basic + commission. OTE £50,000 per year.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break).

Target: £400,000 annual sales

About:

Parkside Recruitment are looking for an experienced Security Consultant .

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in security systems sales, with the ability to prepare tenders, design, and interpret specifications for security systems including Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, and Door Entry systems. This role involves both office-based work and visiting client sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare tenders and quotations based on architect's drawings and specifications.
• Design and quote for security systems including Intruder Alarms, CCTV, Access Control, Door Entry, and External Lighting.
• Generate new enquiries and achieve the sales target of £400,000 annually.
• Deliver presentations to customers at their premises or in our offices.
• Handle system upgrades and takeovers, ensuring quotes meet technical standards.

Equipment Experience:

• Intruder Systems: Eaton Range, Pyronix, Honeywell Galaxy, Texecom, Mobile Apps
• CCTV Systems: Hikvision IP/TVI, Pelco, DM, Adpro, Optex, RVR Solutions
• Access Control: ACT, Paxton
• Door Entry: BPT, Fermax, Videx (IP & Analogue)
• External Lighting: GJD
• Monitoring Systems: RedCARE, DualCom, ARC/RVR, GSM/PSTN Diallers

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proven sales record in security systems.
• Knowledge of IT skills including WORD and EXCEL.
• Awareness of security standards (NSI preferred).
• Experience with contract law and technical system upgrades.
