Security Architect in Bristol

Cyber Security Specialist | 6 Month Initial Contract | Inside IR35 | Bristol | Up to £800 Per Day

Experis are working closely with a public sector client to recruit a Cyber Security Specialist in the Bristol area. The successful candidate will be responsible for owning and reviewing Cyber Risk Management, Secure Design & Security Architecture.

Our client is looking for a candidate who can act as a SME and help mitigate cyber-related risks.

This role requires candidates to have active/transferrable SC Clearance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Head of Security on a strategic roadmap to help define IT Security.
• Lead on process, acting as an SME on tooling and dynamic and static analysis in the product development lifecycle.
• Manage projects and risk management activities whilst showing an appreciation for the fundamental principles of risk management and secure design.
• Review the current IT security structure.
• Share best practice with the team, whilst also actively encouraging up-skilling in other areas of security.
• Interact with senior stakeholders to help define and influence key organisational and architectural decisions.
• Provide expertise around the design of the most appropriate systems relating to security, resilience, functionality etc.

Key Experience Required:

• Security Architecture (cloud-based platforms e.g. Azure and AWS)
• Previous experience around the security testing process ad execution of tests through the development lifecycle.
• Expertise in Information Security Risk Management.
• Previous experience in designing and implementing security solutions and technology.
• Knowledge on application security.
• Experience in a leadership/management role within Cyber Security.
• Propose possible business solutions and make recommendation based on complex business requirements.
