NPL is hiring for a permanent Senior Salesforce Administrator/Developer (Technical Specialist). The focus for this role is to lead on the design, development, and support of the platform. You’ll be joining the Enterprise Systems team.

Salesforce is becoming a crucial business tool within NPL and we require a Snr Salesforce Administrator/Developer (Technical Specialist) to support the adoption within the business. The person will be required to collaborate with key stakeholders in the organisation, including Sales, Marketing, Commercial Excellence, business analysts, project managers and end-users to gather and analyse their business needs and requirements, and to consequently drive the development of the Salesforce platform in response to those needs to meet strategic objectives.

This role will be looked upon to execute and lead on technical implementations and integrations, ensuring best practices are being followed.

Implementing security by design within the system will be paramount, working alongside our Information and Cyber Security teams.

You must be adept at using Salesforce APIs to build seamless connections that enable data flow and functionality across platforms.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for identifying, designing, developing, and implementing solutions and processes to meet the stakeholders' business needs.
Support continuous improvement and identify opportunities to bring about increased efficiencies and value.
Build strong, collaborative customer and stakeholder relationships that will enhance NPL’s ability to deliver its mission, its reputation and remain sustainable.
Collaborate with NPL colleagues to ensure governance for Data and Processes are in-line with Cyber Security and GDPR requirements.
Administration of the platform
Customising and configuring Salesforce, including creating custom objects, fields, workflows, triggers, and validation rules.
Identifying, developing, and implementing the required integrations between Salesforce and other systems.
Performing unit testing, integration testing, and managing user acceptance testing to ensure the quality of deliverables.
Providing continuous technical support and troubleshooting
Staying up to date on Salesforce best practices, industry trends, and new features to continuously improve the solutions.
Setting up and managing Processes Automation's with Workflow, Process Builder, and Flow as well as Security and Sharing Rules.
Manage the periodic platform updates, keeping the business informed of new features and bug fixes.

Skills required:

Deep technical knowledge and experience of developing Salesforce solutions, including customization, configuration, and integration with other systems.
Strong understanding of authentication protocols, data mapping, and error handling to ensure reliable integrations that enhance the overall system architecture and user experience.
Experience of integrating Salesforce with other ERP essential. MS D365 preferable.
Strong proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Aura Components, and Salesforce APIs (Integration and Management).
Be comfortable with Object Query Language (SOQL) and Salesforce Object Search Language (SOSL) to query the Salesforce database effectively.
Understanding of how to work within an Agile framework to respond to changes quickly, manage backlogs, and deliver value incrementally.
Ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and gather accurate requirements is key.
Manage expectations with stakeholders, providing status updates, and negotiating solutions that meet both business needs and technical feasibility.
Strong Customer-Oriented Approach. Always think about what we can do to make it easier and better for the customer.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills to navigate complex business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
A passion for learning and self-development
Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Salesforce Certified Administrator).
