Our client organises several top-tier events in key international locations, along with co-located conferences that attract senior professionals from across the industry. Delegate sales is a crucial aspect of these events, involving the selling of tickets and packages to attendees, primarily targeting C-Suite executives and other high-level decision-makers.

This role is a significant growth driver for our client's business, and we are looking for intelligent, hard-working salespeople who are eager to learn and grow within a dynamic team.

If you're passionate about sales and ready to make a big impact, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive delegate sales for various top-tier events, concentrating on acquiring new business, upselling, and cross-selling.
  • Acquire new clients, upsell to current accounts, and cross-sell across the international events portfolio.
  • Facilitate client discussions to pinpoint key priorities and challenges, creating a sense of urgency and a compelling reason for attendance.
  • Primarily engage with C-Suite level decision-makers, such as senior executives and partners at law firms.
  • Identify key value propositions for clients, leveraging commercial insight to influence decisions and close deals.
  • Efficiently handle inbound enquiries and proactively prospect using internal data and external tools like desk research and LinkedIn.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of delegate deals, closing them promptly with assistance from managers and the team.
  • Constantly seek opportunities to learn, improve, and excel in the role.
  • Be proactive, understanding the importance of client interactions via phone, in person, and at events.
  • Work closely with colleagues in Sales, Production, Marketing, and Operations to deliver ROI for attendees and grow the client base.
  • Organise and manage time effectively to optimise pipeline and sales outcomes.
  • Utilise CRM, LinkedIn, and other systems efficiently, providing weekly updates on pipeline status.

Desired Experience:

  • Over 12 months of relevant B2B sales experience.
  • Experience and confidence in selling to C-Suite or equivalent-level decision-makers are preferred.
  • Ideal for a B2B sales professional aiming to advance their career, develop skills, and achieve financial rewards.
  • Familiarity with banking, finance, and the events industry is advantageous but not required.
  • Proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, or Arabic is beneficial but not mandatory.

Desirable Skills, Abilities & Behaviours:

  • Enthusiasm for selling.
  • Hardworking with a can-do attitude.
  • Excellent professional standards in calls, meetings, and written communications (including proposals).
  • Willingness to learn, be coachable, and value training and development.
  • No fear of picking up the phone, with an expectation to spend an average of 15 hours per week on the phone.
  • A team player who values teamwork highly.

Rewards and Benefits:

  • Attractive salary package.
  • Uncapped commission on all sales, with extra incentives for surpassing targets.
  • Opportunities for international travel.
  • 25 days of annual leave, plus approximately 4 additional days during the Christmas office closure.
  • Regular team-building and social events for achieving monthly sales goals.
  • Private pension plan (for UK-based employees).
