About the Role

Are you an experienced Quality Manager seeking a new challenge?

We have an exciting new role at our paper converting site based in Royton, Oldham.

Northwood Hygiene products is a leading manufacturer of away-from-home paper hygiene products. 

As Quality Manager you will play an important role in helping us to be the market-leading partner of choice in the away-from-home tissue industry, delivering high quality products to our customers.

Job Opportunity

As Quality Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that the site meets its quality objectives in line with the wider group.

You will ensure that the Oldham site is compliant with group policies and meets the requirements of ISO9001, BRCGS Consumer Products, FSC, and individual customer requirements/standards.

Role requirements include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide Quality leadership for the site
  • Guarantees that products meet required technical specification 
  • Delivery of the Quality Policy, ensuring that procedures and systems are maintained
  • Employ a continuous improvement methodology, demonstrating improvements with key KPI's
  • Enforce with all personnel the adherence to quality standards, leading by example
  • Investigate suspected breaches of the quality management system including customer complaints
  • Conduct, define and monitor training of the QMS
  • Actively support during external audits of the QMS including ISO9001, BRCGS, CHSA, FSC and Customer audits
  • Completion of the external audit corrective action plans in a timely manner
  • Define, conduct and monitor required testing and inspections of incoming materials
  • Auditing of external suppliers where needed
  • Produce reports for Management on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, support Town Hall by presenting quality KPI’s and initiatives

·        Experience in conflict management

·        Innovation Propensity

·        Proven ability in supporting external certification body audits

·        Strong IT skills (MS Office)

·        Experience in working with SharePoint

Desirable:

·        Exposure to BRCGS standards and audits

ISO 9000 Lead Auditor trained would be beneficial.
