Quality EngineerFull timeIrlam, ManchesterAzenta Life Sciences offers a range of automated sample storage and management systems tailored to your specific needs, whether you require room/ambient temperature (+20°C) or cold temperature (-20°C) storage.As Quality Engineer you will be maintaining high quality standards across the Automated Storage range of products, based on site in Irlam.What You'll Be DoingEvaluate and interpret manuals, CAD drawings, specifications along with other mechanical & electrical technical dataMaintains quality standards by reviewing and carrying out FAI, incoming materials inspection, in-process production and finished products (in house and at customer sites)Participates in RCCA, Quality Issues and Failure AnalysisSupplier Quality evaluations and Customer Acceptance TestingRecording quality results, maintaining Inspection equipment and MRB rejects.Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, rejecting by NMR unacceptable materials, confirming re-work where applicable.Monitors & approves in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting appropriate tests; communicating required adjustments to Production manager and Quality managerApproves final product quality by visual inspection, sign off of testing requirements and product performance.Front line problem solving skills required to ensure speedy communication & resolution of production quality issues.Collect QA data, log data and evaluate results utilizing simple statistical tools.Contributes to Supplier Quality Audits as requiredParticipates in Process Improvement initiatives.Maintains measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions, calling for repairs.Maintains Calibration DatabaseMaintains safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures complying with company procedures & legal regulations.What You'll NeedMinimum HND or equivalent in Mechanical/Electro disciplineExperience within a similar Manufacturing role/ environmentGood understanding of product requirements and the company quality objectives.You must be self-motivated, conscientious, and organised.Able to demonstrate a good operational level using MS tools and similar PC software.Strong interpersonal skills, and be confident in dealing with colleagues and clients at all levels within the organisation
