WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

As a QA Engineer (Validation Team) within the ‘Ngenea’ team, you will primarily work with fellow engineers to validate software in an agile environment where we ship features frequently to create user delight.

Using your strong ownership of responsibilities, time management, and adopting a results driven nature is essential to achieve our objectives across multi-disciplinary teams.

You’ll have tons of opportunities to apply your skills to interesting new problems. We hire testers who are hungry to learn and keep up with the newest trends.

Responsabilities:

• Define test requirements and automate test procedures to help create and maintain an exceptional user experience
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Liaise with internal teams (E.G. developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Must Have Skills:

• A demonstrable grounding in QA principles and methodologies
• Fluency with Pytest and Playwright / Selenium (Playwright preferred)
• Python and at least one other scripting language (E.G. Bash, Groovy, JavaScript)
• Ability to write readable, maintainable, modular and extendable test code
• Good understanding of principles of RESTful APIs and Databases
• Strong knowledge of Linux (RedHat, Ubuntu) including CLI, including Docker
• Commercial experience of using version control tooling (GIT) in a large development team performing Continuous Integration

Beneficial skills:

• Familiar with configuring and supporting Jenkins (you’ve rolled out Jenkins and defined the workflows, ideally in code)
• Practical experience of large-scale application testing

Profile:

• At least 5 years’ experience in a commercial QA role
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding/awareness of Accessibility, Security, Performance best practices
• Proficient in English, written and spoken
• Ability to empathize

CONTRACT INFORMATION

• Type of contract: Permanent contract
• Starting date: As soon as possible
• Location: UK, or +/- 1 hour (UK, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany)
• Remote or Hybrid with periodical team meeting on-site
