Location: Edinburgh/Hybrid (3 day in office per week)

Primis are working with a leading technology solution company who play a pivotal part in providing streamline operations process within the hospitality sector. They are looking for an Automation Test Engineer based in Edinburgh to help deliver high-quality software at speed!

In this role you will be designing and developing automation scripts using tools like Playwright, Appium, or other frameworks. Carry out vigorous testing and identifying and documenting bugs or defects by analysing software code.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with other QA and software developers to ensure quality standards.
• Creating and executing test cases to diagnose issues and bugs.
• Implementing automation test frameworks and defining best practices for the team.
• Conduct non-functional testing, including performance, usability, and compatibility testing.
• Evaluate software responsiveness, scalability, and reliability.
• Design and execute load and stress tests to assess system performance under various loads.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ manual and automation testing experience
• Experience developing with modern automated test frameworks e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Robot Framework, Appium, RestAssured, Selenium etc
• Extensive experience of web application testing
• Experience with programming languages such as C#, Typescript or Java
• Knowledge around REST APIs and tooling (postman, newman)
• Testing of non-functional requirements (eg security, performance)
