Quality Assistant in Howden

Howden Joinery is recruiting a Quality Assistant to join our team at our manufacturing site in Howden, East Yorkshire. As a quality assistant, you will support customer and supplier problem resolution with our manufacturing processes and help engineer quality improvements.Pay rate:- £32,494.80 per annum + monthly production bonus- Shift – 4 weeks rotating – 3 weeks of days and one week of nights.What will you be doing as a Quality Assistant: - Primarily supporting the Quality Inspector or Co-ordinator providing them with data and results from product or process measurements- Supporting in resolving issues within the manufacturing processes- Supporting goods in-supplier assessment and resolving customer complaints- Assisting in supporting site calibration and document controlWhat do you need to qualify for the Quality Assistant: - Previous experience in a quality environment- NVQ level 2 in manufacturing would be an advantage but is not essential- Basic computer skills including Word and Excel- An FLT licence would be an advantage- Self-motivated and have a proactive approach to problem-solving- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines What we can offer: - Competitive salary and bonus scheme - Excellent pension scheme (company contribution of up to 12%) - 25 days holiday + bank holidays per year & opportunity to buy extra holidays - Fantastic staff discounts - Share save scheme - Exceptional reward and recognition events About Howdens: Howdens Joinery is the UK’s number one trade kitchen supplier providing thousands of products across kitchens, joinery, and hardware.
