Howden Joinery is recruiting for a Quality Assistant to join our team at our manufacturing site in Howden, East Yorkshire. As a Quality Assistant, you will support customer and supplier problem resolution with our manufacturing processes and help to engineer quality improvements.

Pay rate:

  • £32,494.80 per annum + monthly production bonus
  • Shift – 4 weeks rotating – 3 weeks of days and one week of nights.

    • What will you be doing as a Quality Assistant:

  • Primarily supporting the Quality Inspector or Co-ordinator providing them with data and results from product or process measurements
  • Supporting in resolving issues within the manufacturing processes
  • Supporting goods in- supplier assessment and resolving customer complaints
  • Assisting in supporting site calibration and document control

    • What do you need to qualify for the Quality Assistant:

  • Previous experience in a quality environment
  • NVQ level 2 in manufacturing would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Basic computer skills including Word and Excel
  • An FLT licence would be an advantage
  • Self-motivated and have a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines
