Project Manager / Quantity Surveyor in London

MMP Consultancy are currently seeking a Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor for a Local Authority in North West London on a contract basis paying £350/day Umbrella.Job Purpose:* As a member of the Housing Asset Management Team, contribute towards achievement of the services aims and objectives as contained in the Smarter Housing Plan.* To act as lead professional in all aspects of inspections, design and building contract procurement of works commissioned for the section and to provide expert professional and technical advice in all matters relating to the building stock in a customer focussed manner.* To act as Project Manager for planned maintenance and improvement projects as assigned, providing a professional and efficient service, ensuring that works are carried out within the agreed constraints of time, budget, quality and performance and in compliance with statutory legislation, building regulations, health and safety policies and financial regulations.* This role also requires the Project Manager to take budgetary control for projects in the region of £2m to £3m. As well as managing assigned projects the role will also require the individual to take on all aspects relating to quantity surveying/cost consultancy. This will require the individual to advise on procurement routes, procure the work, prepare estimates and bills of quantities, analyse costs and maintain cost control. Job Context:* Managing the budgets of and delivering the Decent Homes improvement and other major repairs/improvement programmes * On occasions delivering minor works alongside major works projects* Maintaining an up to date information system on stock condition* Surveying and inspecting properties* Development of Strategies and Policies relating to Asset Management* Working in partnership with contractors and other stakeholders* Working with our residents to improve the services that we provide* Adherence to and delivery of the Housing Ambition PlanIf you are interested, please send over up to date CV with rate expectations.
