Project Manager - Civils in Sunderland

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to oversee the civil engineering aspects of our fibre network build projects. This role is crucial to ensuring the successful deployment and integration of the fibre infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and coordinate all civil engineering works related to the fibre network build, including excavation, trenching, ducting, and reinstatement.

- Oversee project planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure timely and within-budget completion.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, construction, and operations, to optimize project outcomes.

- Manage and mentor a team of site supervisors, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

- Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders to secure necessary permits and approvals.

Requirements:

- Proven experience in managing civil engineering projects, particularly within the utilities or telecommunications sectors.

- Strong understanding of fibre network infrastructure and construction processes.

- Excellent management, communication, and organizational skills.

- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

- Relevant engineering qualifications and professional certifications.

Please note that works will be based in the Sunderland area with the Project office being based out of the GCU Gateshead Office.
