An introduction to the role

Join our team and take on the exciting role of overseeing a wide array of projects, from their early stages right through to completion.

Collaborate closely with our Capital Projects Manager to strategise and execute capital investments.

Your primary objective will be to guarantee that the allocation of Weetabix Capital funds perfectly aligns with our business strategy and specific needs.

  • Review project objectives and define the full scope of work, ensuring all the necessary specifications required for the tender submission are met
  • Conduct a fair tender process for the project proposal, taking charge of the terms and conditions and handling contract negotiations
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, managing the budget and timeline for smooth project implementation
  • Expertly manage project risks, including scheduling and resolving any conflicts that may arise
  • Review and approve RAMS and conduct the required training to manage onsite work, including issuing of work permits and overseeing high-risk activities in compliance with legislation and Weetabix policies.
  • Efficiently complete the project closure, summarising the benefits and achievements post-completion, and obtaining the necessary sign-off from relevant bodies to comply with UK legislation.

Requirements

Qualifications are not always the be-all and end-all and we really value your wealth of experience, however for some roles that are governed by legislation we will ask for specific qualifications and achievements.

Must haves

Qualifications:

  • Hold a recognised Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent)
  • Possess appropriate safety qualifications (MSTS, FAAW, and IOSH)
  • Strong alignment to the Weetabix values
  • Always curious to finding new ways to do business!
  • Ability to demonstrate how you keep up to date in your field of expertise.
  • Always curious to find new and better ways of working
  • Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management and influencing abilities
  • Showcase exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, including quick comprehension of business processes and technical requirements, to provide optimal solutions

Nice to haves:

  • Hold a recognised Project Management qualification
  • Experience of working in Engineering, FMCG or Construction
