Programme Manager
- Contract Duration: 9 Months Initially
- Location: London (Hybrid working expected)

Reed Professional Services is on the lookout for a seasoned Programme Manager with a strong background in Portfolio and Programme Management within Central Government. The successful candidate will join our team within the Public Safety Group (PSG) Portfolio Management Office, tasked with designing and developing the PSG portfolio, implementing it alongside Client’s stakeholders, and managing governance processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Develop a portfolio of programmes and projects, including establishing governance and controls.
- Engage and manage senior stakeholders effectively.
- Plan, schedule, and resource a medium-sized portfolio of 40 projects and programmes.
- Manage portfolio risks and issues.
- Conduct portfolio reviews, health checks, P3M3, and Risk Maturity assessments in conjunction with Portfolio Managers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior experience at a senior level in Portfolio and Programme Management with Central Government.
- Extensive experience in senior stakeholder engagement and management.
- Proven track record in planning, scheduling, and resourcing a portfolio of projects and programmes.
- Competency in portfolio risk and issue management.
- Valid SC level Security Clearance is essential.
Desirable:
- Previous experience working for a consultancy.
- Experience in delivering.
