My client a highly respected engineering business are on the hunt for a talented Production Manager to join the team!

Role and Responsibilities –

In this role, you will be managing the overall production schedules to deliver products at the highest of quality standards in line with customer requirements. This will mean having clear communication lines with all levels of the business to achieve efficiency against all targets set.

Other responsibilities include:

• Generate monthly forecast in conjunction with Production Control and then responsible for delivering the Sales Plan each month, for value and OTIF
• Continuous improvement activity and elimination of wastes supporting labour productivity, equipment capacity, productivity, efficiency and cost reduction by applying best practice ‘LEAN’ techniques, including cellularisation techniques, HS&E and 6S.
• Delivering improvement to Business ‘Financial & Operational KPI’s’
• Work with Production Control team to create a robust plan and then deliver the plan

Experience or Qualifications –

• Previous experience of production management within an machine shop or aerospace environment
• Ability to solve complex manufacturing problems, using LEAN tools, 6S and cellular techniques
• Conversant with ISO9001 and Quality Management Systems
• Experience in working with all levels of the business including, operations and engineering functions.
