Production Engineer in The High

SPX Enterprise Control Systems (ECS) is a leading designer and producer of programmable jammers (RF Inhibitors) and specialized equipment for the high-level military and internal security domains.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Production Engineer to join our small yet experienced team.

This role plays a crucial part in bridging the gap between Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales, with a primary focus on generating and maintaining technical and configuration data to be utilised by all departments.

Located in Wappenham, Northamptonshire, we also offer the flexibility to work remotely for two days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a liaison between Production/Operations and Engineering, ensuring timely completion of documentation when required.

• Create and maintain part numbers and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for both new and existing products.

• Generate and monitor Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for BOM updates, under the guidance of the Engineering Design Authority and Production Management Team.

• Monitor and manage component obsolescence, proactively seeking alternatives as needed.

• Take ownership of the Manufacturing Data Pack for ECS Products.

• Complete mechanical and electrical/electronic design updates as necessary.

• Assume overall responsibility for configuration management and maintenance of associated engineering management plans.

• Develop clear and concise Assembly Instructions as agreed upon.

• Maintain the Production Feedback Register.

• Provide support and input to Sales for generating and verifying part numbers and model descriptors.

Key Requirements:

• Hold an HNC in Electronics or a related subject, along with relevant experience in a similar role.

• Display self-motivation and strong teamwork skills, with excellent interpersonal abilities.

• Possess a solid technical understanding gained from working in a similar environment.

• Have knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
