The API unit is part of Sports Media and consists of a group of cross-functional teams working to provide our clients with the fastest, most accurate, and most reliable sports data possible.  

Working very closely with oursportsleague partners, internal production teams, and third-party data providers to source the data, we offer programmatic access (via APIs) to deep collections of live and historical sports data including play-by-play, schedules, standings,game and season statistics, profiles/rosters, injuries/transactions, draft information and much more.  

The team isresponsible for Sports APIsacross the world,includingcore and deep sports data delivery, editorial/image APIs (for example,headshots, live action, previews), data collection tools for Sports andotherAPI Professional Services.



ROLE OVERVIEW:


Sportradar we are looking for a Product Analyst to help strengthen our successful Data Delivery, Sports Media unit based in London, UK.


The primary function is to support the product managers – particularly in the Betting Entertainment Team – by managing a roadmap and product backlogs across multiple sports and products.



The secondary function of this role is product management of multiple sports API products including rugby, handball, table tennis, motorsports, volleyball, MMA and more.

You will work with other product managers, sales, account management and development teams to shape the product portfolio according to the product and business strategy.


The third area of responsibility is collaborating with Support, Client Services and Production teams.

You will work with these teams to resolve and manage queries, establish and improve processes, and develop the skills and knowledge to support all Sports API products.


The opportunity is to develop your product management skills and over time assume more responsibility over the product portfolio.

You will be an integral part of a Data Delivery team within the Sports Media Tribe supporting the biggest tech and media companies in the world.

You will work with internal teams around the world as we help our clients develop the world’s best sport data-based solutions.



THE CHALLENGE:

  • Product manage multiple sports data products

  • API Product development on behalf of other product teams particularly Betting Entertainment Tools (BET)

  • Support product managers in the team and from other business areas

  • Collaborate with our Support, Client Service, Operations, and Production colleagues to continuously improve our customer experience

  • Manage BET and other sports product backlogs

  • Review, resolve, and manage customer queries, bugs, and feature requests

  • Work with our Operations team to analyse the portfolio and improve documentation

  • Analyse data and report on KPIs for Rest of World API products

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Understanding of product management principles

  • Basic understanding of the structure, use, and implementation of RESTful APIs

  • Ability to comprehend and analyse data feeds in a sports context

  • Clear communication skills across all levels within and outside the organisation

  • Attention to detail

  • Analytical mind

  • Understanding of a wide range of sports

  • Experience using JIRA and Confluence

  • Working knowledge of agile and scrum methodologies

  • Disciplined with time management

  • Desire to develop product management experience
