Pricing Manager – 12-month fixed Term Contract

Salary: National - circa £70,000, London £85,000 - £90,000

We are looking for a Pricing Manager to join us on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract basis!

A bit about the job:

This is a great opportunity to work in an area which is strategically important to Aviva.

You will join Aviva’s Workplace business which is the number one Workplace Pension provider in the UK with assets under administration in excess of £110 billion, looking after 5m customers across 28,000 schemes.

You will become a member of the Workplace Pricing team.

The team plays a critical role in ensuring that we are able offer competitive rates that enable us to grow the workplace business whilst maintaining profitability and offering value for money to our customers. 

You will have the opportunity to lead on a wide range of activities making it a constantly varied and interesting role.

These could include:

  • Delivering quotes and supporting the underwriting process

  • Development of pricing models and assumptions

  • Monitoring performance and spotting opportunities to generate additional value

  • Managing workloads, queries and key collaborators

  • Supporting Workplace change projects

  • Commercial assessment of initiatives and market developments

  • We maintain positive relationships within Aviva including with Distribution, Propositions, Operations, Risk and Finance and engage with the trustee directors of Aviva Master Trust.

    We operate within a strong risk and controls culture adhering to Aviva’s Group Standard and Frameworks as well as Actuarial standards.

    Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • Qualified/nearly-qualified Actuary or qualified by experience

  • Good communication and influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships across teams such as Finance, Distribution and Proposition

  • Strong Excel skills, preferably with experience of coding and manipulating large datasets

  • Highly analytical with a capability to interpret data and establish alternatives and solutions to complex problems

  • Knowledge of workplace/pensions industry is preferable but not essential

  • National salary circa £70,000, London salary between £85,000 - £90,000, depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications
