Position: Qualified PMLD TeacherLocation: Waltham ForestTeaching Focus: Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) Type: Full-timeSalary: £150-£220 per day (Salary dependent on experience)What We Require from Our PMLD Teacher:✅ Qualified and Committed: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent NARIC qualification.

✅ Expertise: Showcase a minimum of 2 years of experience teaching students with PMLD, demonstrating a strong understanding of their unique needs, including physical or sensory impairments and limited verbal abilities.

✅ Adaptability: Possess the ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to individual student needs, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

✅ Knowledgeable: Have a robust knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, ensuring the safety and well-being of every student.

✅ Right to Work: Hold the Right to Work in the UK to be eligible for this role.

Key responsibilities:Lesson Planning and Delivery:                           I.         

Develop and implement tailored lesson plans that accommodate the individual needs and abilities of students with PMLD.                         

II.         

Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and enhance their learning experiences.

Individualized Education Plans (IEPs):                           I.         

Contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Plans for each student, considering their specific learning objectives, abilities, and challenges.

Adaptation of Curriculum:                           I.         

Modify and adapt the national curriculum to suit the unique needs of students with PMLD, ensuring that learning goals are achievable and meaningful for each individual.

Assessment and Progress Monitoring:                           I.         

Regularly assess and monitor the progress of students with PMLD, using a variety of assessment tools and methods to evaluate their achievements and areas for development.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration:                           I.         

Collaborate with other professionals, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists, to provide a holistic and integrated approach to students' care and development.

Communication with Parents and Guardians:                           I.         

Maintain open and regular communication with parents or guardians, providing updates on students' progress, achievements, and any concerns that may arise.

Behaviour Management:                           I.         

Implement effective behaviour management strategies to address any challenging behaviours that may arise, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.

Must-Haves:DBS: An up-to-date, enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service.

Updated CV: Highlight your qualifications and experience.

QTS: Qualified Teacher Status or NARIC equivalent.
