PHP Developer in Manchester

PHP Developer – Manchester/ Hybrid - £50,000

We are looking for a PHP developer for a SaaS solutions provider in Manchester. They already have an established development team but are looking to bring in some more fire power, in the form of a PHP Dev.

The role is predominantly home based, with a day in the office once every 2 weeks.

Tech Stack is Laravel/ VueJs.

You will be working with the product owner and the rest of the development team to upgrade and support their current ecosystem, building the backend services and APIs which power the platform across both web and mobile. You will be tasked with upgrading, optimising and improving the existing codebase for growth and scale, while following test driven development principles ensure feature quality.

Responsibilities:

• Follow product roadmap, developing new features and improve existing functionality
• Work on a range of greenfield projects
• Research and evaluate new web technology
• Contribute to the development of working practices
• Consult and advise on web technology across multiple departments
• Solve complex technical challenges

Key Skills:

• PHP
• Laravel
• Advanced MySQL experience with a sound understanding of database normalisation and optimisation
• Practical understanding of key development and design principles and processes such as OOP, EAV, MVC, SOLID, Agile Scrum
