We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Performing Arts Technician to join one of our partner schools.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the vibrant performing arts program within a dynamic educational environment.

Job Description:We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Performing Arts Technician to support the performing arts department at a leading school in Sheffield.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical aspects of school performances, events, and productions, ensuring each event runs smoothly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities:Technical Support: Provide technical support for all school performances and events, including setup, operation, and maintenance of lighting, sound, and stage equipment.

Event Preparation: Assist in the planning and execution of technical requirements for school events, including liaising with teachers, students, and other stakeholders.

Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain all technical equipment to ensure safety and functionality.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize disruptions during performances.

Collaboration: Work closely with the performing arts department, teachers, and other school staff to deliver high-quality productions.

Training: Provide training and guidance to students and staff on the use of technical equipment.

Qualifications and Skills:Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the performing arts industry, preferably in an educational setting.

Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of lighting, sound, and stage equipment, including digital mixing consoles, lighting control systems, and AV technology.

Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform under pressure.

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the school event schedule.

Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Education: Relevant qualification in technical theatre, performing arts technology, or a related field is preferred.
