The opportunity

As a People Business Partner, you will serve as a strategic partner to both employees and leadership, providing guidance and support throughout all areas of the employee lifecycle.

This role will work closely with senior leaders, managers, and employees to drive People initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives.

You will serve as a trusted advisor on all People-related matters, including employee relations, performance management, and organisational development and act as a role model to the junior members within the People department.

What exactly will you do?

Generalist:

  • Partner with business leaders, by building effective relationships to support them in maximising the engagement and capability of their team.
  • Provide advice, coaching and feedback, challenging where needed, to ensure leaders achieve organisational goals through their people resource.
  • Understand business area issues, priorities and key drivers and the effect on their specific area to build into people plans.
  • Engagement & Culture:

  • Influence and build initiatives that promote a positive company culture.
  • Develop people strategies and design approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organisational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
  • Lead on core HR processes ensuring they fit the needs of the business such as performance, reward and benefits, HR compliance, EDI & Well-being.
  • Data & Reporting:

  • Analyse, interpret and present various types of data to the exec such as leaver insights, employee relations.
  • Use data to guide decision-making and provide proactive solutions to the Company.
  • Employee Relations:

  • Act as point of escalation for high-risk ER cases
  • Partner with managers to identify any risks from ER processes and implement solutions.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and management of any employee matters/processes in accordance the Company’s policies.
  • Workforce Planning:

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure workforce plans to understand current workforce needs and priorities, as well as future anticipated needs.
  • Work collaboratively with business leaders on succession plans to build a strong talent pipeline.
  • Create initiatives to ensure top talent is retained and business performance is continually improved.
  • Continuous development of job descriptions and compensation packages to benchmark in line with the market.
  • Policies and Procedures:

  • Lead on the annual review of People policies to ensure the policies are compliant and reflect best practice.
  • Advise management and employees on interpreting and applying company policies and procedures.
  • Stay up to date with changes in employment law and emerging trends to reflect in the organisation.
  • HR Leader:

  • Coach and mentor employees in the People Team to support their development.
  • Act as a point of contact for escalated HR queries.
  • Ad-hoc people-related duties deemed fit and appropriate by the Company within the capacity of the role.
  • What we’re looking for

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Operated in commercial, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in developing and managing People change projects.
  • Experienced in developing and supporting leaders through change from a people perspective.
  • Experienced in developing and implementing people strategies, policies, and processes.
  • Analysis of MI and People reporting for key stakeholders to support benchmarking, identify trends and inform people practices.
  • Enhanced and up-to-date knowledge of employment law and legislation.
  • Solid understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish credibility at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to influence and tactfully deal with complex employee relations issues.
  • Ability to coach, influence, and challenge stakeholders effectively and demonstrates evidence of building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships to deliver outcomes.
  • Strong initiative and evaluation skills; generating ideas and suggestions to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Self-disciplined and proactive with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, coupled with a high degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving HR initiatives and projects, including change management and organisational development.
  • Data-driven mindset, with the ability to analyse metrics and use insights to inform decision-making.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Self-sufficient but able to work as part of a wider team.
  • Demonstrable commitment to Continuous Professional Development

  • CIPD Level 7 Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Chartered CIPD membership status (MCIPD)
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR/business related filed
  • Project management skills, and experience of successful project delivery
