We’re hiring an Optimisation and UX Director on a FTC until July 2025 .

You will be part of our team in Manchester working on a hybrid basis.

Purpose of the role


In your role as Maternity Cover - Strategy Director for the Optimisation and UX teams you will for overseeing the Optimisation and UX Strategy Proposition, Delivery and Activation.

Pushing and evolving our client deliveries.

Ensuring high levels of client retention and focus on commercial growth for the business.

The Optimisation Strategists will play a key role in the delivery of activation for our client set.

You will be responsible for helping them to achieve their client goals – By supporting our Strategies to formulate and oversea delivery of solutions for complex client problem statements and deliver strategies, action plan, drive innovate idea and identify areas of opportunity for CRO and Optimisation.  

You will also be a key part of the Digital Experience Community Senior Leadership and will have an active role in driving the team vison and culture. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Overseeing our portfolio of existing client accounts, providing guidance to the POD leads to ensure that our clients get value for their investment to ensure long term retention.
  • Review Client Strategies with POD leads to ensuring they align with long-term client objectives. These can include but are not limited to A/B testing, a page/journey redesigns, optimisation of the acquisition journey and site speed optimisation. Ensuring all clients have Key account plans in place and teams are kept accountable for account development. 
  • Be accountable for full exiting client set, supporting POD Leads in determining potential threats and finding solutions to keep clients happy and investing in our services. This will include leading on defensive pitches. 
  • Running client programmes for more complex client solutions and delivery with the help of the supporting team. 
  • Working with POD leads to identify opportunities for existing client growth, providing support and coaching to increasing client investment, finding cross-sell opportunities, or working with our sales team to bring in new clients. 
  • Providing mentoring and coaching for our POD Leads on Client Strategy Solution sand being the senior escalation point for client issues within the Strategy Team. 
  • Supporting the New Business team on creating pitch strategies for the existing Dentsu client base to extend Optimisations reach across the client base. 
  • Working with our product teams to improve our current offering to ensure we deliver best in class work and work with them to inform, shape and develop future propositions. 
  • Working with wider teams such as Digital Experience and Total Search to identify, develop and activate collaborative workstreams, new products and new ways of working. 
  • Leading on annual, quarterly and monthly reviews for clients and proposition communicating the success of our optimisation programmes and Strategy team with senior client stakeholders
  • Key Skills

  • Wider knowledge of other digital marketing channels (SEO, PPC etc)
