Job Title: Data Centre Operations Manager

Location: Slough, United Kingdom

Salary: £68,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Data Centre Operations Manager to join our dynamic team in Slough. As a critical member of our organisation, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of our data centre facilities, ensuring maximum uptime and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of the data centre, including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all critical systems.

Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

Lead a team of data centre technicians, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high performance and productivity.

Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand and prioritise business needs, and develop strategies to meet operational objectives.

Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to procure necessary equipment, services, and resources.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess the condition of the data centre infrastructure and identify areas for improvement.

Develop and maintain documentation, including operational manuals, procedures, and incident reports.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in data centre operations management, with a strong understanding of critical infrastructure systems such as power, cooling, and security.

Technical proficiency in data centre technologies, including HVAC systems, electrical distribution, fire suppression, and environmental monitoring.

Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and objectives.

Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.

Relevant certifications such as CDCMP (Certified Data Centre Management Professional) or equivalent are highly desirable.
