The Opportunity – Operations Manager- Supply Chain
Are you a dynamic leader specialising in global supply chain, looking for your next exciting opportunity? Here at Solent Group we have a brand new role for an Operations Manager in our Supply Chain division to manage operations across the Solent Group’s UK and European warehouse teams and partners.
This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence and will oversee our global network of logistics partners across Ocean, Road, Rail, and Air Freight, ensuring efficient execution of global order fulfilment processes.
Key Responsibilities
Direct management of the UK-based logistics team.
Oversight of SAP logistics processes and data within the group.
Implementation of strategies to maintain and improve safety standards.
Driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives
Cost negotiations across logistics landscape and network, understanding market conditions.
Managing the execution of global order fulfilment processes.
Monitoring and reporting on key KPIs related to safety, cost, service, and delivery.
About You
Proven experience in a similar Operations Manager level role, preferably within the FMCG retail sector.
Strong leadership skills with a hands-on management style.
Extensive knowledge of logistics, supply chain, and warehouse management.
Demonstrated success managing logistics and warehouse operations across multiple countries.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in SAP and other logistics-related software.
Proficient in SAP logistics processes and data management.
