Company Overview: Digital Waffle has partnered with a leading provider of building management systems (BMS) solutions, dedicated to optimizing energy efficiency and enhancing the functionality of commercial and industrial facilities. With a strong presence in the West Midlands, we are expanding our team to include an Operations Manager who will be responsible for running our entire BMS division. We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to lead our team of BMS Project Managers and Engineers.

Role Overview: The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in the success of our BMS division. This position involves managing all aspects of BMS project execution, overseeing the BMS Project Managers, and ensuring the optimal performance of our BMS Engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, fostering a collaborative work environment, and maintaining the highest standards of quality in BMS project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership: Provide strong leadership and guidance to the BMS division, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
• Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of BMS projects, collaborating closely with BMS Project Managers.
• Team Management: Manage a team of BMS Project Managers and Engineers, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
• Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet project deadlines and requirements.
• Client Engagement: Foster positive client relationships and serve as a point of contact for clients regarding project progress and concerns.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all BMS projects meet or exceed industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
• Budget Management: Manage and monitor project budgets to ensure cost-effective project delivery.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the BMS division and implement best practices.
• Reporting: Provide regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Proven experience in a senior management role, ideally within the BMS or related industry.
• Strong technical knowledge of building management systems, including Delta, Trend, Cylon, ABB, or Tridium.
• Previous experience managing a team of professionals, including BMS Project Managers and Engineers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with industry regulations, codes, and safety standards.
• Possession of either an ECS card or a CSCS card is preferred.
• Full UK driver's license is essential.
