Job Summary

Reporting to the Plant Manager the New Business Development Manager will be responsible for achieving new sales revenue targets for our UK site on an annual basis from new and current customers throughout the UK and Europe.

The role will involve traveling to meet with prospective customers as well as attending industry events.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify and target potential clients within designated industries to generate new business leads.
  • Following up new business opportunities and meeting customers face to face
  • Accountable for building a pipeline and showcasing process capabilities to customers.
  • Build effective relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and generate new business opportunities.
  • Negotiate pricing with customers for new and existing projects.
  • Reviewing RFQ inclusive of feasibility studies prior to customer submission
  • Conduct market research to understand
  • Setting, agreeing and monitoring of corporate KPIs.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to maximise the impact of promotional campaigns
  • Work with internal teams to ensure consistent and excellent customer experience.
  • Travel throughout the UK and Europe to meet with prospects and customers, as well as attending industry events to enhance the company's presence.

About the individual

  • 5+ years experience in a sales role within the automotive industry
  • Excellent communication, time management and customer service skills.
  • Proven experience of achieving targets against forecasts with a target-driven mindset.
  • Ability to travel to visit customers, trade shows etc
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong ability to access and engage with key decision-makers at the strategic level.
