Role description:

We are looking for experienced MEP Associate Cost Consultants to add to our MEP Community within London. This role will guide & lead the delivery of MEP cost management for Market Leading Developer Clients across namely commercial office, sporting facilities, hospitality & residential projects.

You will be responsible for managing key stakeholder relationships, to include financial performance and commercial negotiations. 

You will guide a team, delivering projects within cost, time frame and upholding the highest quality standards supported with your expert technical knowledge and experience in cost consultancy and the assets delivered by developers.

As well as service delivery, the role will be a key member in assisting the leadership of the Arcadis MEP community. 

Role accountabilities:

  • Lead, coach and develop the skills and capabilities of team members in order to share knowledge, increase team skill level and improve the standard of service delivery.
  • Create project costings and budgets from clear objectives, managing finances across a project in order to ensure the profit and budgetary targets are met and best value outcomes are achieved.
  • Lead and manage individual cost management assignments from inception to completion, managing teams and resources to ensure delivery standards meet client expectations.
  • Analyse and compile a range of complex data and documents, using knowledge to review and assess analysis and provide recommendations to contribute to project decision-making.
  • Use expert knowledge and experience of industry best practice to support the development of current cost and commercial management systems and processes.
  • Work to improve services and drive innovation to increase team contribution to project delivery.
  • Manage relationships with customers in order to identify opportunities to improve the cost management offering and deliver customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a key technical resource within the field of MEP cost/commercial management, providing technical advice and solutions to internal colleagues in order to support successful project delivery across a range of projects.
  • Build valued relationships with internal and external clients and stakeholders, in order to ensure client satisfaction, develop the cost management service and create new business opportunities.
  • Support and lead bids and sales with existing clients. 

    • Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ideally you'll will have extensive experience within the MEP Services industry and have a sound grasp of the technology. 
  • Experience in Consultancy would be helpful but not essential, as we often consider those with a contractor background. 
  • An ambitious, positive outcomes-based mindset and a good team player. You'll be joining one of the largest MEP Cost and Commercial Teams in the industry and will be expected to contribute with training and technical talks and upskilling junior members of the team. 
  • Formal Qualifications: Relevant degree.
  • MRICS useful but not essential.
