Jonathan Lee Recruitment is supporting a highly technical, innovative company in recruiting a Mechanical Stress Engineer, which is a full-time role with an excellent salary and benefits package.As a Mechanical Stress Engineer, you will work within the engine design team, being responsible for mechanical assessments of aircraft and engine components to ensure that they meet the required life and integrity requirements. You will also create mechanical models to analyse the aircraft components and sub-systems using analysis methods ranging from initial scoping calculations in mathcad to 2D and 3D FEA models.As a Mechanical Stress Engineer, you can expect to:Build and analyse mechanical models of static and rotating components using 2DWork closely with design team to optimise the performance and integrity of mechanical components across the platformUndertake technical assessment of the component life and integrity through the design phase, into testing, verification, validation, certification and in-service supportTo apply for this Mechanical Stress Engineer role, you will need a BSc/BEng in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and relevant mechanical analysis experience.
