Elevate your career in the realm of heavy engineering with a pivotal role in mechanical maintenance at a leading Chesterfield-based firm.Offering a generous salary of £40,000 per annum.Shift: Days, Nights and Afters on rotationRole Essentials:- Execute routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues to minimise downtime- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve machine reliability and performance- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols- Contribute to the continuous improvement of maintenance proceduresSkills & Experience:- Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within a heavy engineering environment- Apprentice Trained (NVQ L3 or Equivalent)- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations- Excellent communication and teamwork skills- Flexibility to work across three shifts, adapting to the demands of the roleThis role is tailored for a hands-on, diligent individual eager to apply their mechanical expertise in a challenging yet rewarding setting.
